Donald Chase

Donald "Don" Chase worked for the National Park Service in Alaska for many years, including at Denali National Park, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, and as superintendent of Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve. His tenure at Yukon-Charley was at the time when Preserve management, subsistence, land ownership, and mining regulations were being formulated, so he faced many challenges of balancing Park Service attitudes with the interests of local people. He went on to work at the Natural Resources Library, U.S. Department of the Interior.
