Elizabeth Hollingsworth

Elizabeth Hollingsworth is Iñupiaq and was born in in 1943 in Atqasuk, Alaska to Evelyn and Henry Nashaknik. She served as the Iñupiaq language translator during the 1982 interviews with her father and with Nina Nayukok for the Chipp-Ikpikpuk and Meade Rivers Oral History Project. Elizabeth has been mayor of Atqasuk, a member of the Board of Directors for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, president of the Native Village of Atqasuk, and the Native Village of Atqasuk's representative to the Bureau of Land Management's National Petroleum Reserve Working Group.
