Karen "Lexi" Tuddenham

Karen (Lexi) Tuddenham collected oral histories as part of the Fishing and Natural Resources in Bristol Bay Project Jukebox, working with Professor Karen Hebert of Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. During the summers of 2013 and 2014, and the winter of 2015, Lexi spent extensive time living and researching in Bristol Bay. Lexi has a B.A. in Biology from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale University, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where she focused on environmental justice, social ecology, and sustainable resource management. She is particularly interested in the ways in which natural environments can contribute to the health and resilience of the human communities who rely on them, and in how to foster equitable access to the benefits of green space. She also has worked in community-based conservation and development in China and Nepal, and taught environmental education in the Southwest. Lexi currently resides in Telluride, Colorado, where she is the Executive Director of the Sheep Mountain Alliance, a grassroots environmental advocacy group.
