Charles "Chuck" Mobley

Charles M. Mobley ("Chuck") holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology with specialization in archaeology, a M.A. in cultural resource management/conservation archaeology, and a B.A. in Anthropology.  He is certified by the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Chuck has spent almost 30 years in Alaska teaching, writing, and consulting about Alaska’s history and prehistory.  He has taught at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska, and has conducted many oral history interviews, written over 100 technical reports, 18 articles, and one book.  Chuck is the owner of Charles M. Mobley and Associates in Anchorage, Alaska, a company that provides cultural resource services, including archaeological survey, architectural history and evaluation, oral history, archival research, and Native heritage consultation.
