Judicial portrait of the Alaska Supreme Court, 1960-1965: (L-R) Justice Harry Arend, Chief Justice Buell Nesbett, and Justice John Dimond.  The original Supreme Court had just three members, and they handled all appellate cases in the state. Justice Arend resided in Fairbanks, Chief Justice Nesbett resided in Anchorage, and Justice Dimond resided in Juneau.
