Description:
Known as "Jack Flowers' Roadhouse" (pre-1911), Julia E. Hill purchased the place, and she operated it as the Wiseman Roadhouse. The structure consists of a main building, pool hall, bunkhouse, kitchen, storage, and other out-buildings. During the 1930's, Bob Marshall, author of Alaska Wilderness, Exploring the Central Brooks Range, lived in a cabin which was located to the north of this structure. (Site 14)
