Description:
Cutting antler at a summer handling of reindeer at Wilfred Kakaruk's corral (circa 1959-early 1960s). Norman Menadelook (Roger's brother) is in the yellow shirt and sailor's cap and the teenager sitting by the reindeer is Sam Komok. In the spring, people waited for channels to open in the inlet ice so that they could travel to the handling area by boat. When additional help was needed, more people came to the corral by airplane. Notice the plane in the background.
