Description:
Charlie Edwards' dog team with Cheryl Edwards running the team toward Taylor's camp below the mouth of the Nation River. When the National Park Service renovated the Nation Bluff Cabin, an 8-foot x 10-foot cabin where the river residents stayed during this trip, they removed a log that had the inscription, "28 dogs and 14 forks" written by Fred Beech. Due to space limitations, the dogs were forced to sleep outside.
Listen to Brad Snow talk about the photo.
