Description:
A newly formed crack in the shorefast ice (nutaqqutaq) near a grounded pressure ridge (ivuniq) and the ice around it collapsing. Cracks that are kept from freezing by repeatedly being kept open by currents or tides can get covered by snow and not be seen and cause a safety hazard.
