David Atkinson, Interview 2
David Atkinson

David Atkinson gave a presentation on February 16, 2010 to the Stakeholders and Climate Change Meeting at the International Arctic Research Center (IARC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Fairbanks, Alaska. The purpose of the meeting was to bring together local experts and scientists to discuss issues related to climate change. Scientists gave presentations addressing some of the issues raised in the communities about impacts to their subsistence livelihoods. In this presentation, titled "Context-Specific Weather and Climate Indicators: Helping to Quantify Observations From the Land," David discusses local applications of climate information and the importance of local observations to the study of climate change.
