Ice collapse at upper end of Wenrich Slough

Changing water level can cause sections of the ice to collapse, exposing the original ice level, creating cracks and gaps where melting can occur, and creating generally unstable ice conditions as seen here at the upper end of Wenrich Slough below Wenrich Island.
