Antone Balluta With Rifle

Description: 

Antone Balluta (1905-1937) at Miller Creek in mid-1920's. Balluta guided three big game hunters from the Lower 48 to the Twin Lakes country in search of moose. Antone's rifle was given to him by his hunters. Sophie Austin, Antone Balluta's widow, said: "When big game hunters came to Tanalian Point asking for a guide and packers, word was sent to Old Nondalton and Antone would be hired as a guide."
