The site includes recordings from the Oral History Collection at Elmer E. Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the collections of Kenai Fjords National Park, Seward, Alaska. It also contains photographs from some of the narrators' personal collections (Warren and Mary Huss, Keith Freeman, Keith Knighten, Doug McRae, Dan Seavey, Page Spencer, and Gary Zimmerman).

This project was completed in 2012 by Karen Brewster and Marla Statscewich of Project Jukebox at Elmer E. Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The project was funded by the National Park Service and done in collaboration with Shannon Kovac, Cultural Resource Manager, Kenai Fjords National Park; Rachel Mason, Anthropologist, Alaska Regional Office, National Park Service; and Don Callaway, Ethnographer, Alaska Regional Office, National Park Service (now retired). Kenai Fjords National Park Superintendent Jeff Mow and Resources Manager Fritz Klasner also supported this project.

Thanks also go to the individuals interviewed and for contributing photographs.
