Patty Bowen speaks about Marian Edwin:
"Marian Edwin, Tanana's oldest elder, can still flash her dimple and that sparkle in her eyes as she recalls the past and all that she and her family have experienced. She says, in remembering, that those years at the fishcamp in the Rapids were the very best. She and her husband, Lee, raised 12 children of their own and many others who became part of their family as the years went by."
